Watched the Oscars with my longtime friend

During the wintertime I usually don’t have the same kind of motivation to get together with my friends because of the weather and getting what I think is a bit of seasonal depression, but because of seeing this challenge I made the effort to spend the evening with my high school friend Fraser. We went out for dinner and headed back to his place to watch the Academy Awards since we both are into film and actually studied in the same film program back in CEGEP. It’s been a while since I caught up with him in person although I’ve spoken to him over the phone a few times the past few months. It was great spending time together and hopefully the pleasure derived from it will kind of push me to keep going out during these lousy cold months and be more active and social. I enjoyed dinner because we had a lot of time to talk – sometimes when I go just to a movie or some other activity with a friend we’re too focused on the activity at hand that we barely get any time to talk and share what’s going on in our lives, so I really try to find things that will give us a chance to communicate rather than just concentrate on some other task :)
