Stop and see the nature surrounding you

Montreal is a beautiful city. I have traveled the world and have not found a city I love more than Montreal.
We are also fortunate to have so much green space. I live in NDG where I once read has the highest concentration of trees in all of North America. It is an old farm area so many of the original trees remain and the city planted maples, poplars, oaks and ash throughout. The best thing about Montreal, in my opinion, is Mount Royal. In the center of the city, it is an oasis for hiking, cycling, walking in the summer and skating, sledding and cross country skiing in the winter. It is 10 minutes from my home and it is one of the places I go to often and thin of how lucky we are to have such a natural wonder in the city. I could not get through the winter if not for my weekly skating ritual on Beaver Lake. I love it and am grateful for the beauty of this park!
