Reducing Exposure to Pesticides

One of the easiest ways to avoid exposure to dangerous pesticides is to be aware of foods that are more likely than others to have traces of residual sprays. Foods such as apples, most berries, and non-organically certified vegetables. You can minimize the risk somewhat by thoroughly washing produce such as tree fruits before eating. You can also grow your own vegetables from seeds where it is possible and know with a certainty that they are pesticide free. I have found the internet, with sites such as this, to be a good source of information on pesticides as well as reading magazine and newspaper articles on the subject.
