Protection from the Flu

Vaccination is the best way to protect ourselves from the flu. Here are additional steps we can take in our daily life to help protect us from getting the flu.
– Wash your hands often with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub.
– Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth: Germs spread this way.
– Try to avoid close contact with sick people.

As a teacher I wash my hands so many times that my skin is dry and cracked. I try to tell my students how important it is to wash their hands often and also not to touch their noses, eyes and mouth. For little children it is very hard for them to remember not to touch their faces.
