Protect Yourself

I must admit, I was very lucky this winter. I did not get a cold or a flu and everyone around me was sick! I must have done something right but in case it was just dumb luck I went to this website to learn more for next season. http://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/preventing.htm
First it says to get a flu shot. That I got. Guess it worked. Secondly, it says to stay away from sick people. I was not able to do that, but I did disinfect common area’s, handles and doors when the sick person left. AND I frequently washed my hands and NEVER touched my face, eyes, nose. Finally it says to take antiviral drugs to shorten the virus if you do get it. I did not need to do this, but I do have a cold fx medication at the ready in case. In the past, it has shortened my colds and flus.
