Part of Plan to Reduce Sodium in Diet

One effective way to reduce my consumption of salt in my daily diet is to limit the use of store bought sauces, mixes, and “instant” products. These items frequently contain very high levels of sodium per serving. I found this information and other useful tips at www.cdc.gov/salt. Also, flavoured rices and ready prepared pasta often contain excessively large amounts of sodium. It is my plan to avoid totally or greatly reduce the consumption of sauces and mixes and to read package labels more carefully. This is a step in my plan to start reducing sodium intake and improving my physical health.
