Our Family Tradition

In my family, we give presents to those in need. It all starts with Christmas cookies. I bake Christmas cookies and package them (2 per pack). I bake over 200 cookies and believe me its a lot of work. After baking, decorating, and packing i give them to my brothers and my parents to sell at school/work. They are $2 per pack. After we collect all the money we go shopping at toy stores like Walmart, toys r us, those kinds of places. We then donate them to our local police station because they usually have Christmas drive. We are usually be able to buy at least 4 presents, sometimes more. Either way it really is a good feeling being able to give to children around the holiday season. Its also nice to know that we’re helping out parents who may be down on their luck around the holiday season. Sometimes we all just need a little help and so giving in this way could mean a lot to someone and impact them in more ways than you can imagine.
