My Daddy’s Advice

Growing up my dad would tell me that ” you can’t soar like an eagle when you are hanging with a bunch on turkeys “. I share that advise with my own children now when they are faced with friend predicaments. I think back to some of the friend choices that I made many years ago compared to the choices my own children, specifically my 14 year old and can see how this old adage still makes sense today. It is so true that a poor choice in friends really can hold you back from being all that you can be.
