When using a Propane Fuelled BBQ, you can save on gas by heating up the BBQ with two burners until the desired temperature is reached, then turn off one burner or reduce the setting to low. The BBQ will usually maintain the heat and you will save on propane. Once the burners have reached a certain temperature, they can retain most of the heat even if the settings are reduced. The cooking grids will stay hot enough for grilling meat on one side and vegetables or kebabs on the other side. I have found this to be energy saving tool.
