When I first accepted this challenge I thought “What’s this really going to do, I’m always grateful for things!”, so I decided to step it up. Instead of writing one thing I was grateful for each day, I wrote ten. The fist day was easy, I wrote about all the big things I was grateful for. My family, friends, education, etc. The next day I wrote about more big things, my house, my car, my job, etc. While doing this I started thinking about what I would write the next day. The more I thought about what to write, the more things I saw I had to be grateful for. It’s true that I had always been grateful for things, but in doing this challenge I realized I had previously only been grateful for the big things. Now I’m consciously being grateful for everything! This laptop I’m typing on, the clean sheets I sleep on, the “Good morning!” from strangers, the sun on a nice day, and so on. There are an infinite number of reasons to be grateful each day, and now I’m going to be grateful for them all!
Gratefulness
