I use as little energy as possible. Not only do all my lights have flourescent bulbs, but I am slowly switching all of them to LCD now. I have power bars on most appliances and my tv and when not in use, I shut them off. So I am not using extra energy when I am asleep or not at home. I keep my house at 16C in the winter and turn it down even more at night when I sleep, normally 14C. The furnace is not turning on and off all night and I save on energy consumption and heating oil. I rinse dishes in cold water and wash on a speed cycle only in cold water. I never use the dryer in the summer, but hang clothes on the line. My appliances are all energy efficient and I have changed all my windows and patio door with triple glazing. I caulk and seal and point the bricks when necessary. I do my best and even know I can do better.
