The one teacher who had the most impact on my life was an elderly teacher I had in 6th grade.
She was immensely intelligent, funny and kind. We learned the most interesting words, such as
ambidextrous, which means skillful with both hands. We used words like these in weekly spelling bees that were fun and taught us definitions as well. She loved to teach and she would always be there early or late to help a student who needed it. I wanted to do things to help her because she was the best teacher I had ever had up to that point and I can honestly say, the best of all the teachers ever. She was in her 70’s when she was teaching us, so I know that she is long gone because that was in the late 60’s. I dedicate this report to Eleanor and all the other wonderful teachers out there who do it because they are passionate about teaching.
