Today instead of waking up and immediately going on my phone, I decided to go for a run. My day has been 10 times more productive from that decision. It really changed my morning and allowed me to be more awake and less grouchy from lack of sleep. I also did not watch any TV today, instead I went to the farmers market with my mom and grandmother and left my phone at home! It was kinda scary leaving my phone at home but I am glad I did because I was able to spend more time talking with my family.
This morning I again started with no technology and got up much easier than yesterday. Before I went to bed last night I decided to read instead of watch the regular Netflix that I always do. I think that really helped my sleep schedule, I went to bed an hour earlier because reading put me to sleep. Writing this journal entry is the only time I have been on technology this morning and I hope to keep it going for the rest of the day. It makes me more productive throughout the day and I am able to accomplish more.
This morning I did the same thing as day one and it is getting easier and easier to wake up every morning. I even got up earlier today! Having the tech break early on in the day really allows me to be more productive with the task I have to come. I tend to be more focused and more awake during the day. The tech break has taught me that stepping away from your phone or the computer everyday and doing something that does not require any technology is very rewarding. I was able to accomplish more and overall felt better throughout the day.
