I used the Mayo clinic calculator. According to my age and height, I need 1700 calories a day to maintain the weight I am presently. I think I eat way more than that every day. I do moderate exercise but I should really make a plan to exercise 3 times per week so that instead of maintaining this weight I lose the 30 pounds that I am over.
