Calculate Your Body Mass Index (BMI)

Calculating your Body Mass Index (BMI) is an easy and quick way to figure out if you’re at a healthy weight. By using an online BMI calculator and entering your height and weight, you can get a better idea whether you are overweight, underweight or an appropriate weight.

As most of us know, your weight has a big impact on your health and certain health risks may increase if you happen to be over or under the healthy range.

As BMI doesn’t directly measure body fat, it shouldn’t be used as a diagnostic tool; think of it more as a handy indicator of possible weight problems. It’s important to note that BMI is not used for muscular athletes, individuals under age of 18, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those over the age of 65.

If you have concerns about your Body Mass Index, talk with your doctor or registered dietitian.
