I have a lot of respect for Shania Twain. She actually started singing and writing songs by the age of 10. She performed on Canadian television as a teenager. In 1987 her parents were killed in a car accident and she had to care for her younger siblings. She was able to earn money singing at a local resort. From there she moved to Nashville and recorded her first album and went to become one of the biggest names in country music. Great success story for a woman from Timmins who had a tough early life.
