What is prostate cancer you might ask? Well let’s find out. First of all, prostate cancer is a cancer of the prostate. It occurs in men not women. The cancer can become a malignant (cancerous) tumor even if it starts out non-cancerous. However, the cancer grows slowly so it may take years before it is discovered. Treatment is more effective if it is found in the earlier stages. 23,600 men will get diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2014.
