Prostate Cancer Canada estimates that 23,600 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in Canada for the year of 2014 and 4,000 men will die from it. Those are harsh and difficult words to hear.
Prostate Cancer Canada also states that prostate cancer is the most diagnosed cancer among Canadian men that are new cancer cases, which is estimated to account for about 24% of all new cases.
These numbers are alarming, but Prostate Cancer Centre also has good news. The death rate from prostate cancer has been decreasing about 4% per year in Canada between the years of 2001-2009 and that is due to early detection and better treatment options.
Get checked.
