I used the BMI Calculator from this site: http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm
Since my results show that I am at a healthy BMI, I am not too concerned. I think BMI calculators are good at giving a rough idea of health, but I don’t think they are the only thing to go by. I’ve lost over 100 pounds and have sagging, loose skin that attributes to a bit of the weight. Not a huge deal for me, but it can be for someone who has a more more. The extra skin may make people think they are at a healthy weight, but would actually be underweight if the skin had not been there.
I think there are too many variables for someone to strictly follow a BMI, like bone mass, muscle mass, etc.
