Our cottage in the Laurentians has lovely mushrooms growing on our property. My daughter, who is a chef, told me they were chanterelles. I was thrilled to find this out. So I decided to cook them, fried, with some Quebec garlic and onions, and served them over a delicious strip loin steak. Not only are they fresh from my own property, but they are free!
