Basking in the warmth of the sun’s rays

Prior to this challenge I didn’t regularly get sun exposure. I understand that sun exposure is important as it allows the body to absorb vitamin D, and a deficiency in this vitamin is very common for Canadians. I have a darker complexion which means that my skin does not absorb this essential vitamin as readily as fairer skin. Vitamin D deficiency is truly and epidemic and sun exposure is even more important for those with darker complexions like mine. It’s important to remember to use your sunscreen when exposed to sunny conditions. So go outside, have some fun and soak up some sun.
