My footprint according to the calculator when run the first time is 3019 cubic meters per year. By far the largest component is industrial, but I’m not sure what that means or how I could reduce it. By playing with the calculator, I see that the algorithm assumes that all of my income is spent on industrial goods. When I reduce the income number to a more reasonable 10000 per year my footprint goes down to 727 cu meters per year. What I’ve learned is that just buying consumer goods uses a lot of water. So the most important thing is to buy less.
