Always tell the truth

One thing my father instilled in me was to always be truthful. As hard as it is at times to tell the truth, I think I do this all the time. Not everyone wants to hear the truth, so sometimes this can be difficult. Think of a woman asking “do I look fat in this?” Most people would lie and say no to spare her feelings, but if I really thought she did not look good, I would tell her, gently of course.
So I do speak my mind, all the time, whether those around me like it or not, but the truth is very important to me and I thank my dad for teaching me this lesson.
